As for football/soccer songs, american football teams also made terrible songs in the 80s when the made it to the Superbowl. Most of them were of the bad hip-hop variety.

Thanks for those Klaus. Having sated my curiosity I'm now relaxed in the knowledge that I never need to listen to those songs ever again. They remind me that up until recently there was a tradition here in the UK for football (soccer) teams to record songs to commemorate reaching the FA Cup final or to celebrate the national teams heading off to the World Cup. The songs were universally awful and I've just realised that the genre is almost extinct - mercifully. On the plus side, after that performance the Green Edge team's season can only get better! :-)

i wish everyone could understand the words to the HORRIBLE Vuelta a Chile song. It's called "Pedalea", which means "pedal on." But the words are SO BAD... it actually says something about getting your gramma and your uncle out to see the race. ugh.
