These are not your average cycling clubs, and these are not your average sporting goals.

For today's post, I kindly ask readers to click here, in order to read the introduction of what will be an ongoing project with Manual For Speed about cycling development and academies in Colombia.

Through it I aim to explain a unique set of Colombian constructs, which are responsible for nurturing, developing and creating the country's top cycling talent.

Additionally I hope to show that, as I've stated before: it's not in spite of being Colombian that these athletes succeed. To the contrary. It's because of it. But the reasons for this are not as simple and mundane as altitude, topography and body build. No. There's a complex and beautiful human network involved. One that is uniquely Colombian.

Lots more to come. Hope it's to your liking.

  3. The document can be deemed worthless when the graduate cannot find the desired job for which he/she has studied. It is even worse when the graduated student finds that they are worse off than when they started college.
