Busy eating sand

Unlike my usual posts, which are filled with priceless nuggets of informative wisdom, today's bit of artful prose is merely intended to let all of you know that I'll be offline for a few days. This is in part because I'm busy doing this:

Yes ladies and gentlemen, while many of you can multi-task, I'm apparently unable to bust my ass and eat pounds of sand while writing for this blog, all at the same time. Rest assured that I'll be back soon, and also know that I eventually made it down without swallowing half of Belgium in one gulp.

That aside, I'm posting during a weekend for another reason, namely the fact that our friends at Gage & DeSoto got kicked in the teeth by hurricane Sandy, since their shop is located in Red Hook, Brooklyn. So if you're looking for some fine cycling publications, attire, or anything of the sort, check out their online store. This might be a nice time to make a purchase, in order to help them come out from the proverbial monetary hole they probably find themselves in. Also check out this jersey.

And lastly, it's worth mentioning that the latest episode of my brother's podcast features Twitter celebrity UCI Overlord, as well as a guy who is so good at swallowing sand, that he may get a job doing just that very soon.
